St. Daniel Comboni Girls High School is one of the great gifts the Comboni Missionaries have given to the people of Turkana. Established by the Diocese of Lodwar to serve girls from one of Kenya's most remote regions, the school is a place where young women receive quality education, Catholic formation and a generous dose of joyful discipline.
We are named for St. Daniel Comboni — the 19th-century Italian missionary whose famous cry, "Africa or death," gave rise to a movement of priests, sisters and brothers who chose to go where nobody else wanted to go. That same spirit lives in our classrooms, dormitories and chapel today.
